Amy Malphrus

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Malphrus received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2000. She did two years of a pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee at Le Bonheur and Saint Jude Children’s Hospitals.

After completing this, she completed a neurology residency with special qualifications in child neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in 2005. She went on to complete a clinical Neurophysiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Malphrus began her career in academic medicine where she spent many hours in the operating room as a clinical neurophysiologist and surgical epileptologist. She then moved to doing full time intraoperative monitoring.

Dr. Malphrus has been with MPower Health since 2020 and serves as the medical director and chief medical officer. Dr. Malphrus has published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. She has also spoken nationally and internationally on topics of intraoperative monitoring.
