President

As President of MPOWERHealth, Christopher Matthews leads the organization’s strategy, operational execution, and continued commitment to delivering high quality surgical services that improve outcomes for providers, patients, and partners alike. Since joining MPOWERHealth in 2020, he has played an instrumental role in the company’s growth and evolution, bringing a unique combination of financial expertise, operational leadership, and deep industry knowledge.

He began his tenure with the organization developing and leading the M&A growth strategy successfully closing a variety of transactions.  He then served as Chief Financial Officer for over five years, guiding the organization’s financial strategy and building a strong operational foundation before being appointed President in 2026.

With more than 20 years of experience spanning medical technology and services, Chris has built a career focused on driving growth, operational excellence, and innovation across the healthcare landscape. He has held progressive leadership roles that have provided broad experience in commercial strategy, finance, corporate development, and organizational transformation. He is also a proud alumnus of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, where he developed the business acumen and leadership foundation that have shaped his executive career.

Originally from Louisiana, Chris now resides in Lavon, Texas, with his wife and their beloved dog, Jaeger. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and managing wildlife habitat.  His appreciation for the outdoors reflects the same values that guide his leadership: patience, stewardship, and long-term perspective.
