Policies on Advanced Placement/Prior Experiential Learning:
Applicants interested in applying for the MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy Hybrid Pathway require either prior experience in the IONM field or a degree from a formal IONM academic institution.
Number of Didactic/Clinical Hours required to complete the program:
All MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy students must complete the required education hours outlined in the program structure. Please note that education hours completed are non-transferable* for other education programs or academic institutions.
Tuition/Fees: NO PROGRAM TUITION!
Earn a competitive salary while you train and comprehensive fringe benefits. The ABRET CNIM Exam fee is the responsibility of the student upon registration ($700) and is refundable with a proof of exam pass.
Program Withdrawal/Termination:
MPOWERHealth CNIM academy students must submit a written formal request to withdraw from the program to their program dean and program director. All students are subject to a contractual agreement with MPOWERHealth for the duration of the program. MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy is an at-will organization and reserves the right to terminate employment.

Academic Calendar:
The MPOWERHealth CNIM Academy matriculates classes annually – spring, summer, and fall cohorts. Calendars and program timelines are subject to change along with start dates each year and will be provided to students at the start of each session.

Criteria for Successful Program Completion:
PHASE 1: DIDACTIC/IONM THEORY DEVELOPMENT – Completion of all required modules and assignments with a cumulative score of 75% or higher. Midterm and Final Exam metrics must also be met.
PHASE 2: DIDACTIC/CLINICAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT – Completion of all clinical evaluation requirements and Clinical Standard Competencies.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATE AWARDED: Successful completion of Phase 1 and 2 metrics.
PHASE 3: ABRET COMPETENCIES – Completing all CNIM competency modules, Benchmark Exams, obtaining the minimum required study hours, and completion of the ABRET case documentation log. The final step for completing this phase is successfully passing the CNIM board exam.
Clinical Work During the Academy:
All students are required to be available and eligible to perform clinical services at designated facilities within their region. Surgical participation is mandatory for every student during the training phase.
